What does Ryft cost compared to Stripe?
Ryft uses tiered fees: 3.5% + 5p on Community, 2% + 5p on Startup, 1.5% + 5p on Pro, and 1% + 5p on Ridge. Stripe is roughly 1.4% + 20p on UK cards regardless of plan. Compare based on your average order value — Ryft beats Stripe at higher tiers and larger baskets.

Can I use Ryft alongside Stripe and PayPal?
Yes — that’s a common setup. Stripe, PayPal and Ryft can all run in parallel. Shoppers pick their preferred option at checkout.

Does Ryft work for non-UK businesses?
Ryft is currently for GBP and EUR stores (so UK and EU-registered businesses). Other currencies are coming. For non-UK/EU stores, Stripe is the best default.

How long does Ryft verification take?
Usually 24-48 hours for UK/EU businesses. They’ll ask for company registration details, ID, and proof of address. Larger businesses or higher-risk categories may take longer.

Does Ryft support recurring payments?
Ryft supports tokenised card storage for repeat purchases. Recurring billing for subscriptions is on the Freewebstore roadmap — for now, customers re-buy from their saved card via Customer Accounts.
