About GiroPay

Giropay was founded in 2005 by Postbank, the savings bank finance group (Star Finanz GmbH) and the cooperative finance group (Fiducia & GAD IT AG). Based on online banking, the payment method has become firmly established in the German e-commerce and e-government market. Well-known companies such as Lufthansa, CTS Eventim or Deutsche Post/ DHL offer payment using the giropay method.
